A collective sigh of relief can be heard around Melbourne this morning as the Easter break approaches. The morning temperature has already begun to dip into single figures, and for most the Easter break marks the last celebration of sunshine and the summer warmth.

With that in mind, there is no better time to throw on the jeans and jumper and get out to explore our state this long weekend.

Bendigo Winemakers Festival
The annual Strategem Bendigo Winemakers Festival is on again this Easter Sunday. Meet the winemakers of the region, sample the best Bendigo wines and enjoy live music in a tranquil garden setting of the stunning Botanical Gardens in Castlemaine on Easter Sunday, 20th April 2014.
Bendigo also comes alive with the annual Bendigo Easter Festival. Since 1870, Australia’s oldest community festival, has attracted tens of thousands of people to the region every Easter. This is definitely an event not to miss.

Brown Brother’s Estate Wine and Food Festival
Held in the beautiful grounds of Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard, there will be a variety of activities for the whole family to enjoy, including live entertainment, delicious food and local produce stalls. Held on April 19 and 20 the festival offers fabulous wine and food matching, live music in the grounds, a farmers’ market, wine and chocolate masterclasses and lots of fun for the kids.

Falls Creek Easter Festival
This April Falls Creek will again host the annual Easter Festival. There are loads of activities for all ages including the Easter Egg Hunt, the Eggstra-ordinary Egg Toss, FREE kids club activities, outdoor cinema, summit chairlift rides, face painting, sunset tours, colouring in competitions and of course, a visit from the Easter Bunny.

OWOCV Easter Egg Hunt and Food and Wine Festival
The Our Women Our Children Volunteers host their annual Easter Egg Hunt in the gorgeous surroundings of Bellarine Estate Winery on Easter Sunday!
The family friendly event gives kids the chance to hunt for chocolate Easter eggs and join in the other fun activities on offer.
Parents can also enjoy the entertainment and the local food and wine available to sample.

Cadbury Easter Egg Hunt
Cadbury continues to share the joy of Easter with Victorian families with the annual Werribee Park Easter Egg hunt, the largest Easter egg hunt in Australia, which raises much-needed funds for The Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday Appeal.
