Einsteins Relative Cafe Review – South Yarra

Running around the city from job to job, like a headless human (typical) —Einsteins Relative Cafe was an ingeniously serendipitous and delicious stumble-upon. Having a beer-tasting event later that day, we needed to lay the foundation out of some good eats. And let me tell you, we sure did eat really good food at this place.

But first, coffee.

I like to get straight to the point: hot, rich, intense, bold, aromatic. Long black, Americano, Espresso — there is no fooling the palate or senses on what a good coffee tastes like. And when you order two long blacks in under 30 minutes I do believe that gives some merit to having some pretty brilliant coffee.

While we always try not to get the same thing for tasty sharing purposes, we both could not resist the special that day: Dukkah eggs with grilled eggplant, garlicky chickpea mash, sprouts, tomato chutney all topped with a house-made savoury tahini sauce. I do believe we have found the definition of: Flavour Explosion. So, if you’re in the neighbourhood or need a new and unique breakie spot, check out Einstein’s Relative.

We will (and already have) be back again!
