The Creators Market

The final Saturday of summer is on the 27th, so celebrate the last few rays of February with one of the best markets in Melbourne, The Creator’s Market.

Run by Megan Luscombe and Gwen O’Toole from The Ideas Library, this local artisan market is a must visit, packed full of art, design, craft, and you betcha, food! There are quite a few culinary creators we’ve got our lips set on.

The Wild Nothing will be setting up shop with their tantalising teas and tisanes, from a Black Betty with ceylon, cinnamon, apple and orange, to what we’ll be needing later, a Comfortably Numb—tummy tea.

Chutney of pear, lime and chilli can be spread, and blood orange cordial can be sipped for the sweet tooths, with Made By Katherine’s gourmet preserves.

If you’ve rocked up in your fitness gear you can pop by The Pantry Detox for some protein balls and health helpers, or a pre-workout caffeine hit from Bertoncello specialty coffee roasters.

Whatever tickles your fancy, head down to Prahran Town Hall from 10:30am to 4pm to get a bit of sneaky summer shopping in. Free Entry!

Megan Osborne is a freelance writer, but more importantly, a foodie. How can you not be living in a city like Melbourne? Every day holds an opportunity to find a new gem, and in between uploading photos of her cat on Instagram and generally making a mess in the kitchen, she’s on the lookout for the next tummy-satisfying diamond. Or goldmine—she’s not fussy.
