Albert St entices bivalve lovers with Oysters and Pearls
On Sunday 29 June Albert St Food & Wine will tempt bivalve lovers all over Melbourne with Oysters and Pearls, an enticing afternoon oyster-themed event.

From 1.30pm – 4pm guests will savour four delicious oyster courses prepared by Executive Chef Jason Rodwell, who has a penchant for the mouth-watering delicacy thanks to a stint as Sous Chef at Sydney’s Pier Restaurant during 2010 and a childhood living near Merimbula.

For $88 per person a succulent array of dishes featuring cold, warm, cooked and sweet oysters supplied by Superior Oysters in Merimbula and Ocean Made Seafood in Collingwood will be served. In true Albert St Food & Wine form guests will enjoy quirky pearl-themed desserts. Merimbula oyster grower and seasoned aficionado Darren Death will be in attendance to enlighten diners about everything oyster-related, from the cultivation process to the various distinctive flavours available.

Oysters and Pearls at Albert St Food & Wine will be the ultimate gourmet experience, with each course matched with a range of carefully selected wines.

Dan Banks of the Nelson Wine Company will be on hand to talk through the wine matches, which he and Rodwell have worked collaboratively on. Oysters and Pearls will be perfect for oyster connoisseurs or those with a new found appreciation. Guests will be encouraged to absorb the subtle nuances in flavours and will no doubt leave the Sunday afternoon event with a little more oyster knowledge than they arrive with.
