Duck migration at its finest

Heston Blumenthal today announced that his three-Michelin starred restaurant, Fat Duck, will close it’s British doors for six months, and migrate to Melbourne for the summer.

At a packed press conference today at Crown Melbourne, the award winning celebrity chef made the somewhat surprising announcement that not only was he bringing his highly celebrated culinary skills to our city, he was in fact closing Fat Duck in the UK and flying his entire staff to Melbourne to take up residency. “It’s the furthest migration a duck of any kind, let alone a fat duck, has made. I’m going to close the restaurant and I’m going to bring it here to Crown Melbourne Resort for six months,” he announced, to rapturous applause.

To open in February 2015, the new venue will be branded Fat Duck for a period, before becoming a permanent fixture as Dinner by Heston Blumenthal.
