The third and final installment of Hammer & Tong’s hugely successful, Friends with Benefits series will take place Wednesday July 30, with Rick Person being handed the reigns of the kitchen.
If you’ve missed the previous two events, hosted by Mark Briggs (The Age Young Chef of the Year 2013) and Nick Stanton (Ex-Woods of Windsor) respectively, then be sure to pencil this one in.
The series of pop-ups celebrates the culinary genius behind Melbourne’s ever-developing restaurant and food industry and carries on from the highly successful 2013 series.
“After the first series, people were asking for more so we decided to make it a reoccurring thing” Hammer and Tong executive chef, Simon Ward explains.
“It’s a great opportunity for our loyal customers to experience different chefs and to welcome a new crowd of people to our space.”
Seats can be booked for $70 per person, with guests receiving a four-course tasting menu and the opportunity to discover the talent of these amazing young chefs.
Rick Person (Wednesday 30 July): An all-out American, Rick has an obsession for Southern BBQ. After leading Cafe Vue at Heide for the past few years, he is ready to branch out on his own to show Australians what real Southern cooking is.
