As part of The Age Good Food Month, the Global Market Graze will take your tastebuds on a culinary journey through the continents.
This movable feast will take you to Köy where you’ll enjoy a tasting plate of traditional Turkish tsigara boregi Turkish style spring rolls, izmir koft meatballs in a spicy red sauce and gozleme traditional Turkish pastry filled with spiced meat or spinach and feta. Simply Spanish will export you to Barcelona with a traditional beef cheek braised in red wine and Pedro Ximenez. At Paco y Lola you’ll savour the flavours of their slow cooked beef rib with marrow and red mole partnered with black Mt Martha mussels and pipis in a tequila salsa. Finally, bringing back a favourite from the ’60s with their own twist, Claypots Evening Star will serve a seafood cocktail with a sauce made from their own tamarind chutney, lime, fresh chillies and dark rum, poured over scallops, oysters, and prawns.
Diners will visit all four restaurants and can choose from a 6.30pm, 7.15pm or 8.00pm start time. The event will run for approximately 2-2.5 hours and will be hosted by the delightful Tim Hollands, chef and foodie about town (pictured below with restaurateur Renan Goskin from Claypots).
