Last month, GRAM Magazine and South Melbourne Market teamed up to launch the ‘To Market To Market’ blog competition.
The competition was designed to showcase the wonderful produce, people and inspiration on offer at the South Melbourne Market, and do so in a way that GRAM knows best, blogging.
The competition drew entries from right around Victoria and the judging was no easy task. The judging panel, made up of Meg and Erin from South Melbourne Market, Jess from GRAM Magazine and Heather from the Eat Drink Blog conference, chose the eventual winner based on creativity, engagement, personality and the journey the post took the reader on.
While there were some amazing entries, there could only be one winner.
Congratulations to Trish, from Ink and Cleaver. Her post on South Melbourne Market Oysters was a stand out to all four judges. Trish is lucky recipient of a place at Eat Drink Blog’s Queensland conference in September, as well as $1000 in travel vouchers to get her there. Trish’s entry can be viewed here, and is also showcased in this month’s edition of GRAM Magazine.
Second prize went to Emma Stubbs and her entry titled The South Melbourne Market & Chai-infused apple ‘dim sims’. Emma’s entry was well written and exceptionally creative. Emma will enjoy a food photography and styling course being run by past Masterchef contestant, Billy Law.
Third place was awarded to Kyrstie from A Fresh Legacy, and her Black Garlic and Potato Soup post, which made all the judges salivate. Kyrstie will be able to indulge with $150 of South Melbourne Market Money.
