Brew and stew evenings at the Grub

One thing we know how to do in this City of Heaters is warm up, and there’s no better way to do it than with a log on the fire and a pot on the stove. Grub Food Van and roving chefs, Them Bones, combine both activities to draw you to their hearth for a season of Brew & Stew evenings right through the frosty months.

After years cheffing in Europe, Kobi Ruzicka and other half of Them Bones duo, Luci Di Lullo, will take stew recipes from around the globe and present them with a local twist. Each night the menu of three stews will be matched to a trio of handcrafted Melbourne brews, and accompanied by house-made bread to soak it up. The stews will change but always include a classic, something for the adventurous (think braised venison and chocolate) and a hearty vegetarian – all slow-cooked, all using the best seasonal produce available.

Brew & Stew warms up the mid-week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings, from 6pm.
