Thursday nights will once again be celebrated as a dining and cultural event not to be missed, thanks to the South Melbourne Night Market returning on Thursday January 15.
Now in its sixth year, the night market has become a well loved staple of Melbourne’s summer event calendar. From January 15 – March 5, Thursday evenings will be transformed into one big cultural feast, offering hawker-style food, pop-up stalls, entertainment and live music.
Some of Melbourne’s most loved food trucks and food stalls will take over Coventry Street to serve up culinary delights for young and old. White Guys Cook Thai, Chingon Taco Truck, Overdosa, Greek Street Food, The Snag Society, Happy Camper Pizza and Yogurddiction will all feature, as well as Cecil Street’s usual array of ever popular restaurants. Simply Spanish, Linx BBQ Yum Cha, Köy, Paco Y Lola and Claypots Evening Star will continue serving into the night, offering a stunning alfresco view to the comings and goings of the twilight event.
The night market features a stellar line up of local musical talent, as well as a shoppers delight, with SO:ME Space welcoming shoppers in to chill out with a drink, catch their revolving line up of DJs, and discover some of Melbourne’s best designers.
